There’s something particularly good about an Oroton bag that does more than simply play it safe. This one has all the longevity of a beautiful black leather shoulder bag, but the bold silver hardware and chain detailing give it a distinctive, slightly rebellious edge. It’s the sort of bag that can make denim and a white shirt look considered, work beautifully against an oversized blazer, or add some attitude to a simple black dress. The leather is beautifully supple and richly textured, allowing the generous silhouette to relax naturally rather than feeling rigid or overly structured. Against the black leather, the polished silver-tone hardware really comes alive — particularly those two oversized circular buckles across the front. The design is clever as well as striking. Beneath the two buckle panels are two separate front pockets with magnetic closures, giving you easy access to the things you reach for constantly. The main compartment offers plenty of everyday room, with one zipped pocket and two slide pockets internally. At the top, a substantial shoulder strap combines black leather with chunky silver chain sections, while additional buckle detailing at the sides and protective metal feet complete the design. It has that fabulous early Oroton statement-bag feel — substantial leather, unapologetic hardware and details you simply don’t see on the brand’s more pared-back contemporary pieces. Pair it with denim and boots for everyday, sharp monochrome tailoring for work, or let all that silver hardware do the work against an evening outfit. In excellent gently used condition. The black leather remains beautifully supple and the bag presents exceptionally well. Please refer closely to the photographs for its complete condition. I take care to photograph each item clearly so you can see the exact condition. Please review the photos carefully before purchase, as they form part of the description. RRP: $599 (Oroton)
