A pair of statement shorts from Cooper by Trelise Cooper. The silhouette sits neatly at the waist before opening through structured pleats into a generous, almost skirt-like wide leg. The result is feminine and architectural at the same time, with plenty of movement through the hem while retaining the clean proportions of tailored shorts. The color story is particularly strong. A soft ivory base is punctuated by graphic horizontal bands of navy, powder blue and coral, with the stripe arrangement changing through the garment rather than repeating uniformly. The waistband is finished in narrow alternating navy and pale-blue bands, while a wider coral stripe cuts through the upper body before the lower section moves into multiple navy and blue stripes. It creates a bold but very polished resort-style effect. The outer fabric has a subtle woven sheen and texture that catches the light beautifully, giving the shorts much more depth than a flat printed cotton. The composition is 60% cotton and 40% polyester, while the interior is lined in 100% cotton for comfort and coverage. Thoughtful tailoring details include front pleating, a structured waistband, concealed side zip and a voluminous wide-leg cut. Because of the fullness through the leg, they can almost read as a short A-line skirt from certain angles: a very flattering shape that gives definition at the waist without sitting close through the thigh. For a polished summer look, wear these with a simple fitted white or ivory tank, tan leather sandals and a small structured bag. Keeping the top minimal allows the stripe pattern and exaggerated shape of the shorts to become the focal point. For something sharper, pair them with a black sleeveless knit or fitted tee, loafers or pointed flats and a cropped blazer. The black picks up the darker stripe and makes the whole outfit feel much more graphic and intentional. They would also look well on holiday with a pale blue linen shirt worn loose or partially tucked, oversized sunglasses and flat slides: the palette is almost made for that slightly retro Riviera/resort styling. Please compare the measurements provided below with your own measurements, as sizing may vary between manufacturers. Tag size: S Non-stretch. The lining has some stretch. Actual flat measurements: Waist - 33 Hips (measured across lining) - 51 Hem - 44 Inseam – 9 Thigh (measured across lining) - 32 Closure length – 20 Rise – 34 Total length – 38 (where the waistband is 5) General condition of the item: Very good. The construction, waistband, zipper and pleating all look good. There is no damage, pulled seams, or structural wear. The lining is clean and intact. Imperfections: These shorts were washed with a garment featuring small rhinestones, some of these transferred onto the shorts, appearing as a few tiny dots. There is slight fabric pilling on the waistband. There is a faint 0.5 cm streak-like mark on the striped lower section of the right leg. All these flaws are noticeable only upon close inspection. Please see photos. General condition (1–10): 8 #17
