A magnificent piece of vintage mid-century design history: an original asymmetrical Ikebana flower vase made by Yamasan Potteries in Japan, circa late 1960s / 1970s. This striking sculptural centrepiece features a dramatic, biomorphic tri-corner form resting on a pedestal ring base. The exterior showcases an incredibly tactile, heavily textured Brutalist "fat lava" glaze in a speckled volcanic brown and bronze. The rugged outer shell contrasts beautifully with a glossy, glass-smooth sea-green interior glaze.
