Just wondering if the fit is oversized

Only slightly. It’s a good fit for me and I am a size 8. The wrap/scarf/shawl makes it feel oversized and gives it that look. It’s very well made and super warm, I’m just not wearing it as I have 2 small children so it’s not super practical with the wool. I have a problem buying coats!

Does the scarf attach like the hood?

It’s one piece. So it’s like a big scarf. Not a hood really. More of a scarf/wrap that you can wear in different ways. It is attached by little buttons around the collar. So you can remove it and wear it without easily.
