Barely worn Purchased from Smith & Caugheys In original box Currently $1,599 on Karen Walker website, made to order I've been communicating with Georgia at KarenWalker.com and she advises that the earrings should be stamped 925 (denotes gold-plating over sterling silver). These are :) I also asked about the 'e-coating' that they receive after the gold plating is done - and does it deteriorate. (See the description of the earrings on the KW website.) While she didn't specifically confirm this, she did say that "the plating will slowly wear off with time, however ours is several microns thick which is higher than the industry standard. When the plating eventually softens, it can be professionally refreshed by our jewellers. In the meantime, polishing with a soft cloth should restore the appearance of your earrings, or they can be professionally cleaned by a jeweller." While the earrings look fantastic and are super shiny, on closer inspection, in full sun, at certain angles, this 'e-coating' may have dulled somewhat. The gold-plating is still perfect though.
