Ichiro Kimijima was a Japanese designer who trained as an architect before launching his fashion line in 1979. Kimijima went for impeccable western tailoring, European sensibility, and serious construction. He showed in Paris and built a devoted following before his death in 1996 caused the closure of the design house. Pieces are genuinely hard to find now.
