Hi I also have these in a 40, I have a narrow foot so prefer the smaller size for the strap over the foot to be tighter, i have updated a Pic of the size guide from this brand, love them and so comfy, I would keep both as not too much difference, but im having a clear out (don't need 2 pairs lol)
