Hi, I think because it's vintage European sizing it is overestimated. I would say a NZ medium is probably a better description, but it is a large on the tag.

I think it’ll look good on a size 6 (I think at size 4 it might look a bit big). I’ll see if I can find a friend to model it for you on a size 6 :)

Short answer is that I think yes, but if you don’t, you’ll be pleased to see that the price I’ve listed it at is much, much lower :) If you look up the designer and find a sweater with a similar composition, thickness, and style (rather than, for example, comparing it to a thin cotton sweater from the same brand), you’ll see that the RRP I’ve given is accurate to the current pricing. That said, this sweater is vintage, so when it was originally purchased it may have been priced differently from the designer’s modern garments. At the same time, the piece is special because it can no longer be bought and is made with a level of care and quality that the designer’s modern garments probably do not have. The RRP is therefore really just there to indicate a rough value that takes all of these factors into account. I’d focus more on the actual price I’ve listed it at, and use the RRP as an indication of the quality and maximum value of the piece. Hopefully that helps! 😊
