I am generally a size 9/40 but with winter boots or pointy toes I sometimes try going up a size in some brands. These seem true to size for a 41.

Definitely lots of room regarding calves - I will add photos. The only reason I wore these beauties once and have had them in storage since, is that the calves are too loose/wide for my puny legs (a problem I seem to have across the knee high boot spectrum, hence now stick to ankle boots). ☺️
